Rotation, balancing, alignment and replacement with tires rated for an EV's weight and torque.

Tires do more work on an electric vehicle than on most gas cars. A VinFast is heavier than a similar-size gas SUV because of the battery, and it delivers full torque the instant you press the pedal. Both of those wear tires faster and make even wear more important.

Our service department rotates and balances tires, checks alignment, repairs punctures where the tire can be safely repaired, and replaces tires with sizes and load ratings that match what VinFast specifies for your model.

What is included

  • Tire rotation and wheel balancing
  • Tread depth and wear-pattern measurement on all four corners
  • Tire pressure set to the VinFast specification, including the spare or repair kit check
  • Four-wheel alignment check and adjustment
  • Puncture repair when the damage is within a repairable area

When to schedule it

Rotate at the interval in VinFast's maintenance schedule, or sooner if you notice uneven wear. Book an alignment after hitting a pothole or curb hard, if the steering wheel is off-center, or if the car pulls to one side. Replace tires when tread reaches the wear bars or if you see sidewall damage.

Why it matters on an electric vehicle

Uneven or under-inflated tires cost range, and on an EV that shows up directly on the range estimate. Tires built for an EV's load rating also run quieter, which matters more when there is no engine noise to cover road noise. Correct alignment keeps the driver-assistance cameras and sensors seeing the road the way VinFast calibrated them.

Common questions

Do I need special tires for a VinFast?

You need tires that meet the size, speed rating and load rating VinFast specifies for your model. Many are marketed as EV tires because they carry the extra weight quietly and efficiently. We only fit tires that meet the specification.

How often should EV tires be rotated?

Follow the rotation interval in VinFast's maintenance schedule for your model. If you notice uneven wear before then, book sooner; instant torque can wear the drive wheels faster than the others.

Can a punctured EV tire be repaired?

Often, yes, when the puncture is in the tread area and within the size limits the tire maker allows. Sidewall damage means replacement. We inspect the tire before recommending either.
