VinFast Service

Brake Service

Inspection, fluid service and pad or rotor replacement for brakes that regenerative braking uses less, but never retires.

Regenerative braking does most of the slowing in a VinFast, so brake pads and rotors typically last longer than on a gas car. That is good news, but it changes what brake service looks like: the friction brakes are used less, so surface rust, sticking calipers and old brake fluid become the things to watch rather than worn pads.

We inspect the full braking system at every scheduled visit, service the brake fluid on VinFast's interval, and replace pads and rotors with genuine VinFast parts when measurements call for it.

What is included

  • Pad thickness and rotor condition measurement, all four wheels
  • Caliper and slide-pin inspection for sticking or uneven wear
  • Brake fluid moisture test and fluid replacement on schedule
  • Brake line, hose and parking-brake check
  • Cleaning and lubrication of contact points where specified
  • Pad and rotor replacement with genuine VinFast parts

When to schedule it

Book a brake inspection if you hear grinding or squealing, feel pulsing through the pedal, notice the car pulling under braking, or see a brake warning on the display. Otherwise brakes are inspected at each scheduled maintenance visit and the fluid is replaced at the interval VinFast lists.

Why it matters on an electric vehicle

Because friction brakes are used lightly, rotors can develop surface rust and calipers can seize without the driver noticing until stopping power is needed. Brake fluid also absorbs moisture over time regardless of use. Regular inspection keeps the system ready for the hard stop that regeneration alone cannot provide.

Common questions

Why do EV brakes last longer?

Regenerative braking uses the motor to slow the car and recover energy, so the friction brakes handle less of the work in everyday driving. Pads and rotors wear more slowly as a result.

If the pads last longer, why service the brakes at all?

Brake fluid ages with time, not use, and lightly used rotors and calipers can rust or stick. Inspection catches those before they affect stopping distance.

Do you use genuine VinFast brake parts?

Yes. Pads, rotors and hardware are genuine VinFast parts specified for your model.
