VinFast Service

Cabin Air Filter & Climate

Filter replacement and heat-pump or air-conditioning service that keeps the cabin comfortable without costing range.

The climate system in a VinFast is a bigger deal than in a gas car, because heating and cooling draw from the same battery that moves you. A clogged cabin filter makes the fan work harder, and a climate system that is low on refrigerant or has a fault burns range while delivering less comfort.

We replace the cabin air filter on VinFast's schedule, check the heat pump or air-conditioning system for performance and leaks, and diagnose odors, noise or weak airflow.

What is included

  • Cabin air filter replacement with the VinFast-specified filter
  • Airflow and temperature performance test at the vents
  • Refrigerant system pressure and leak check
  • Heat pump and compressor operation check
  • Evaporator odor treatment when needed
  • Blower motor and cabin sensor diagnosis

When to schedule it

Replace the cabin filter at the interval in VinFast's maintenance schedule, sooner if you drive on dusty roads or notice a musty smell or weak airflow. Book a climate visit if the cabin takes noticeably longer to heat or cool than it used to, or if the range estimate drops sharply whenever the climate is on.

Why it matters on an electric vehicle

Cabin heating and cooling can be one of the largest draws on an EV's battery after driving itself. A healthy climate system reaches temperature faster and holds it with less energy, which shows up directly in your range, especially on hot and cold days.

Common questions

How often should the cabin air filter be replaced?

Follow the interval in VinFast's maintenance schedule for your model. Dusty roads, wildfire smoke seasons or a musty smell from the vents are reasons to replace it sooner.

Why does running the heat reduce my range?

Cabin heat comes from the battery rather than from waste engine heat. A heat pump and a healthy system minimise the draw, and preconditioning while plugged in warms the cabin using grid power instead of the battery.

Can you fix a smell coming from the vents?

Usually. The most common causes are an old cabin filter or moisture on the evaporator. We replace the filter, treat the evaporator and check drainage.
