The VF 8 is VinFast's mid-size electric SUV: two rows, five seats, dual electric motors driving all four wheels, and a single 87.7 kWh usable battery shared by both trims. The Eco trim prioritises range at 256 miles EPA; the Plus trim adds power, 20-inch wheels, a hands-free power liftgate and ventilated, massaging seats.
This page is a research guide built from VinFast's own November 2024 US specification sheet and warranty booklet. It is here to answer what the VF 8 is. It does not list inventory: our stores have no new VinFast vehicles to sell until 2027, and this page will say so plainly until that changes.

At home, a Level 2 charger on a 240-volt circuit refills the 87.7 kWh pack overnight; the portable charger works from a standard outlet for short daily commutes. On the road, VinFast quotes 31 minutes from 10 to 70 percent on the fastest DC charging, and the in-car navigation plans fast-charging stops. What is the difference between VF 8 Eco and VF 8 Plus?
Same body, same 87.7 kWh usable battery and same dual-motor AWD. Plus adds power (402 hp vs 349 hp), 20-inch wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, ventilated and massaging front seats, heated and ventilated rear seats and a powered steering column, and gives up some range: 235 miles EPA against the Eco's 256.
How far does the VF 8 go on a charge?
VinFast's US specification sheet lists 256 miles EPA for the Eco trim and 235 miles for the Plus. Real-world range depends on speed, temperature, load and driving style.
Can I buy a new VF 8 here today?
Not yet. Our stores do not have new VinFast inventory until 2027. We service every VF 8, we can help with charging questions, and pre-owned VinFast vehicles appear on our Pre-Owned page when we have them.
