12-Volt Battery, Wipers & Glass
The small things that strand an EV or spoil a drive: the 12-volt battery, wiper blades, washer system and windshield.
The high-voltage battery gets the attention, but a VinFast also has an ordinary 12-volt battery that powers the computers, locks and lights and lets the car wake up. When it fails, the car will not start even with a full main battery. Wiper blades, washer jets and windshield condition matter too, especially with the cameras behind the glass that driver-assistance features rely on.
We test and replace the 12-volt battery, fit VinFast-specified wiper blades, service the washer system, and handle windshield chip repair and replacement with the camera recalibration the car needs afterward.

When to schedule it
Book if the car is slow to wake, shows a 12-volt warning, the wipers streak or chatter, or you have a chip or crack in the windshield. Chips should be repaired quickly, before heat or a bump turns them into a crack that requires replacement.
Why it matters on an electric vehicle
A weak 12-volt battery is one of the most common reasons an EV will not start, and it is easy to test. Wipers and glass sit in front of the forward camera, so streaking, chips or a replacement windshield without recalibration can affect lane-keeping and emergency braking features.

Why does an electric car have a 12-volt battery?
The 12-volt battery powers the low-voltage systems: computers, locks, lights and the contactors that connect the high-voltage battery. Without it the car cannot wake up, no matter how charged the main battery is.
Does a windshield replacement need anything special on a VinFast?
Yes. The forward camera for driver-assistance features looks through the windshield and must be recalibrated after glass replacement. We do the recalibration with VinFast's tools.
Can a windshield chip be repaired?
Often, if it is small and outside the driver's direct line of sight and the camera's view. We inspect it and tell you whether repair or replacement is the right call.
