The VF 9 is VinFast's full-size electric SUV: three rows, seven seats (or six with the Plus trim's captain's chairs), dual electric motors with all-wheel drive, and a 123 kWh usable battery. Both trims produce 402 hp; the Eco returns 330 miles EPA and the Plus 291 miles on larger 21-inch wheels with more equipment inside.
This page is a research guide built from VinFast's own November 2024 US specification sheet and warranty booklet. It exists to answer what the VF 9 is. It is not an inventory listing: our stores have no new VinFast vehicles to sell until 2027.
Two trims

A full-size presence on a 123.9-inch wheelbase, with flush door handles, soft-close doors and signature lighting.

Seven seats, or six
Standard seven-seat layout with a 40:20:40 second row and easy third-row access. The Plus can be ordered with six seats: heated, ventilated, massaging captain's chairs with a rear centre console and wireless charger.
VF 9 front seats
Front seats built for long trips
Eco: 8-way power driver seat and 6-way passenger seat, both heated. Plus: 12-way driver seat with memory, massage and ventilation, and a 10-way passenger seat with the same.
Screens front and rear
15.6-inch central display with head-up display on both trims; the Plus adds an 8-inch screen on the rear centre console. USB ports in all three rows, a 90 W USB-C port, an AC power outlet and wireless charging.
Sound, light and air
11 speakers on the Eco, 13 plus a woofer on the Plus. Multi-colour ambient lighting with footwell light, three-zone automatic climate with air-quality control and an ionizer, and a heated steering wheel on both.

The 123 kWh pack is the biggest VinFast sells, so a Level 2 home charger on a 240-volt circuit is the practical way to keep it full overnight. On DC fast charging VinFast quotes 35 minutes from 10 to 70 percent, and the car supports Plug & Charge on compatible public stations. EPA range figures are from VinFast's US Specification Sheet (November 2024). Inch equivalents of the length, width and height are converted from the sheet's millimetre figures. Actual range varies with speed, driving style, passengers, load, temperature and road conditions.

Common questions
How many people does the VF 9 seat?
Seven on both trims in the standard layout. The Plus trim can also be configured with six seats, replacing the second-row bench with two captain's chairs.
What is the VF 9's range?
VinFast's US specification sheet lists 330 miles EPA for the Eco and 291 miles for the Plus, both on the 123 kWh usable battery. Real-world range depends on speed, temperature, load and driving style.
Can I buy a new VF 9 here today?
Not yet. Our stores do not have new VinFast inventory until 2027. We service every VF 9, we can help with charging, and pre-owned VinFast vehicles appear on our Pre-Owned page when we have them.
